Doing Good with Solar Cooking
Philanthropy through Solar Cooking
If you know it…teach it!
ALL SEASON SOLAR COOKER has been sharing its design since 2004. Thanks to the internet, we have been able to reach out to tens of thousands of users in over 137 countries. No cost information and free access to downloadable drawings and instructions – along with all required technical support have been provided for over 10 years.
In addition to the above information, we have also provided direct donations of cookers to areas of need including Haiti, India, Japan, Micronesia, Chuuk, Niger, Congo, Kenya, Sudan, Mexico, Brazil, Peru, Nepal and others.
We provide instructional workshops on solar cooking at schools, churches, survival skill groups, environmental groups, green festivals and other venues – at no cost to the venue or the participants.
We believe that the ALL SEASON SOLAR COOKER has changed the solar cooking paradigm. No longer do users have to settle for one hot meal mid afternoon. The ASSC makes morning, noon and evening hot meals available and, therefore, is more useful to an agrarian culture.
To create a superior solar cooker that is easily reproduced in third world conditions
Working with our mission statement, we select only materials that are available world wide or can be substituted world wide. For example, scrap cardboard, woven grass or bamboo mats can replace the plastic that we use for our USA versions. Our pure aluminum reflective surfaces can be replaced by scrap shiny packaging materials such as breakfast cereal bags.
The only tool required to build the cooker is a knife. Our USA design remains true to our mission.
