Can you Solar Cook in your area

Everywhere in the continental United States will work for solar cooking. Some areas are better than others. The image below shows the average daily wattage per square meter of every location in the US. I live in the 5.25 to 5.50 zone. For me, any sunny day works well.

For others, say those in North Dakota, their average kWh per meter is 4.00 to 4.25, or lower. And this production is reduced during the winter months.

However, solar cooking is both possible and practical in all areas throughout the year. I get reports from Seattle and upper Michigan stating successful solar cooking in February!

So look at the map. Even the least sunny places can use solar cooking.
