Wow! Beans boiled dry

Today is December 15, one week shy of the shortest day of the year. I tried my usual recipe - 2 cups dry beans, 5 cups water, garlic, onion, olive oil and little salt. I was very good about turning the cooker every two hours, 7 - 9 am, 9 to 11 am, 11am to 1pm then whoops! I forgot I was cooking. Went to the workshop, post office, UPS, grocery, got home just at sunset. The beans had boiled dry!!!. Now they are on the stove with more water and just starting to simmer.

I live in an RV so in winter, it is really nice to have something simmering on the stove.

This cooking session used the "office bag" mentioned previously. The bag is in perfect condition - the moisture from the boiling has kept is soft - and will be used again.
